Advair is a pressurized metered-dose inhaler (MDI) from Glaxo Smith Kline, featuring an aluminum canister with a metering valve fitted into a purple actuator and protective dust cap. Each actuation delivers 250 mcg fluticasone propionate and 25 mcg salmeterol (as the xinafoate salt) for inhalation. The formulation uses HFA-134a (1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroethane) as the nonmedicinal propellant and contains no excipients. Supplied as 120 doses per inhaler for consistent, metered delivery.
